Lyrics

Hey there,
Since you're heading back
History has played out like a warping track
When you wished upon a weed, gifted the wind its twirling seed
To watch it playfully descend upon your neighbour's grass
And he always gets so mad

Life has oscillated between so much fortune and misfortune
The earth is turning quietly and fires burning violently
Somewhere into the distance, there's a jangling tune
I try to make it out but it seems to move

And it's all in the waking dream in which we roam
There once was and there wasn't in our momentary home
Under the blue dome

Now, somewhere in the middle east my grandmother is buried
And in my memory, When we visited her tomb, my uncle passed around some spoons
And beside her we shared sweets and felt so little gloom
Oh grandma, we will see you soon!

For she knows it's a waking dream in which we roam
There once was and there wasn't in our momentary home
Under the blue dome
